With the recent arrival of the Ross's Gull, and other rare birds visiting the area within the past year, birders have been flocking to Tupper Lake from across the US and Canada... As our Curator Leah pointed out, "It has been quite an unusual bird year here in Tupper Lake. A pair of Sandhill Cranes nested near Simon Pond last summer making it the first time this species has nested within the Adirondack Park. Recently, a Northern Shrike has been seen hunting near the OWD property and there was a
