Drivers who rely on Interstate 30 through downtown Dallas should prepare for a major weekend shutdown tied to ongoing construction on the I 30 Canyon Project. Weather permitting, all lanes of eastbound and westbound I 30 will be fully closed between I 35E and I 45 US 75 beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, January 16, and reopening by 5 a.m. Monday, January 19. If you are headed to Deep Ellum, plan ahead, expect detours, and give yourself extra time. This is a great weekend to skip the car altogether. T
