A new way to crack down on illegal parking is coming to Albuquerque, as the city unveils an automated ticketing system device. The solar-paneled SafetyStick is a new device that’s been installed around Albuquerque in no-parking zones. The city said that when a car parks at one of the locations for more than 90 seconds, the device will take a picture of the license plate, and they’ll receive a ticket in the mail.
