By Hyunsu Yim, Nicoco Chan, Minwoo Park SEOUL (Reuters) -While South Korean protesters have long employed songs, dances and chants, customised light sticks popular with K-pop fans have emerged as an effective new tool for demonstrators calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol.
Protests Hit South Korea
There is a decades-long tradition of protests in South Korea. They are meticulously organized, involving teams of volunteers who hand out candles and signs to people who show up. Mass demonstrations in South Korea date back to the democratic uprisings against military rule in the 1980s.
