Norwalk fire officials said two residents and a parrot are unharmed after escaping a fire at a North Bridge Street home early Sunday morning.

NORWALK, CT (WFSB) - Crews responded to a house fire early Sunday morning in Norwalk. Firefighters were dispatched to 57 North Bridge Street at 1:28 a.m. after receiving reports of a fire. Upon arrival, crews found the second floor of the home fully engulfed in flames. Two residents were able to safely exit the house, along with their pet parrot.

A house in Norwalk is now uninhabitable after an early morning fire. A two-story home went up in flames just before 1:30 a.m. at 57 North Bridge St. Upon arrival, the Norwalk Fire Department witnessed the second floor fully engulfed.
