Max Verstappen followed up the securing of his fourth world championship by winning a chaotic Qatar Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton suffered another miserable evening in his penultimate Mercedes appearance.

Norris had no problems holding the lead on race day though. The McLaren man matched Russell’s start from P2, who went on to lose position to his rival’s team-mate, Piastri. Despite his best efforts, the Mercedes driver couldn’t restore himself to second place.
