It wasn’t just Steph Curry who got on head coach Steve Kerr’s good side in the Golden State Warriors’ 118-111 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. The former back-to-back MVP dropped 28 points in 27 minutes of action, along with six rebounds, five assists, and four triples.
Shaedon Sharpe torched the Warriors for the second time this preseason. He scored 16 points, his most impressive basket being a one-on-one drive against Horford in the second quarter. It was a surprisingly physical preseason game, with Jonathan Kuminga tossed from the game right before halftime after arguing that he had been fouled.
The noteworthy part of this moment wasn’t so much that Kuminga pulled off the rarely seen preseason ejection after picking up a technical foul for arguing with veteran official Rodney Mott just before the end of the first half.
