3 biggest takeaways for Sixers in blowout loss to Clippers at home
Here are the three biggest takeaways for the Philadelphia 76ers following their home loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Sixers can do little right in a blowout home loss to the Clippers
This season has been about more than a lack of healthy players for the 76ers. No matter who’s on the floor, the Sixers seem unable to make shots, defend, or grab rebounds. And that was the case Sunday in a 125-99 setback to the Los Angeles Clippers at the Wells Fargo Center.
3 observations after Sixers get smoked by Clippers without Embiid and George
The Sixers were still missing Joel Embiid (left knee swelling), Paul George (left knee bone bruise) and Kyle Lowry (right hip strain). Lowry watched from the sidelines in a Philadelphia Eagles sweatshirt and jumbo-sized Eagles hat.
Player grades: James Harden, Clippers send Sixers to another loss
A slow start doomed the Sixers, however, and the Clippers walked away with a 125-99 blowout win as Philadelphia fell to 3-13 on the season. James Harden, playing in his second game back in Philly after the trade to the Clippers, had 23 points and eight assists for LA who had a lead as large as 33.
Instant observations: Sixers crash back down with blowout loss vs. Clippers
The Sixers' offense sputtered in the second quarter, as they only totaled 23 points across a dozen minutes. But they hung in there thanks to a rejuvenated defense which held the Clippers to eight points in the final seven minutes and 22 seconds of the second quarter.
76ers Fans React to Blowout Loss vs LA Clippers
After picking up their third win of the season Friday against the Brooklyn Nets, the Philadelphia 76ers were back on their home floor Sunday. They played host to an array of familiar faces, squaring off against James Harden and the LA Clippers.
