The Tampa Bay Lightning suffered a 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh. Carolina scored the game’s first goal while shorthanded in the first period when forward Seth Jarvis’ shot on the rush made it 1-0 Hurricanes 4:29 into the game.

Seth Jarvis began the scoring with a short-handed goal and Pyotr Kochetkov stopped 23 shots as the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-1 on Tuesday night in Raleigh, N.C.

The Canes have seemingly found their game after a 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning that stretched their winning streak to five.

After Saturday’s poor showing against Boston, the Lightning wanted to bring a high work ethic into this contest versus Carolina. They brought that high compete in the first period and outplayed the Hurricanes during the opening frame.

The Carolina Hurricanes (38-22-4) host the Tampa Bay Lightning (37-22-4) tonight at the Lenovo Center. The game will be televised by ESPN+ and Hulu starting at 7:30 P.M. The Canes did not have a morning skate but it is expected that Pyotr Kochetkov will take his turn in the goalie rotation tonight.
