The mother of three kids who were found abandoned living in a filthy, garbage-filled home in Michigan has been charged with child abuse, authorities have confirmed.

Three children were found living in “absolute squalor” in a Michigan home riddled with mold and human waste after their mother abandoned them and left them to live on their own without soap or toilet paper for at least four years,

"Obviously, the trauma here is significant," Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said in announcing the charges Wednesday.
