After a brief suspension, ABC confirmed that "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" will return Sept. 23, featuring guests Glen Powell and Sarah McLachlan.

"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" had been preempted on Wednesday following comments Kimmel made on the show in response to the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Jimmy Kimmel Live!' is back on our TV screens, addressing the nearly one-week suspension following outrage over comments the late-night talk show host made about Charlie Kirk's death and his politics.

The station groups with ABC affiliates in 23% of the U.S. pulled the show over Kimmel's comments related to slain right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.

The major broadcasting groups said in statements the late-night talk show will return to their TV stations on Friday.
