The Arizona Diamondbacks and Seattle Mariners could look to come together on a trade that would send slugger Josh Naylor to Seattle.

Naylor, by contrast, is in the midst of another strong season. The left-handed slugger is batting .296/.367/.465 with a 127 OPS+, 11 home runs, 58 RBIs and an impressively balanced 44:40 K:BB ratio across 314 at-bats.

Historically, it's risky to draft right-handed high school pitchers at the very top of the MLB Draft. Also historically, the Seattle Mariners have been incredible at drafting and developing pitchers in their farm system. Almost the entire rotation for the team was drafted by the M's and brought through the franchise's farm system.
