President Donald Trump says Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has personally assured him that India will stop buying Russian oil.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Wednesday the United States and its allies would take the steps necessary to "impose costs on Russia for its continued aggression" if the war in Ukraine does not come to an end.

This will be the fourth consecutive winter of outages since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022.
