The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is ready to accept the Hybrid model for Champions Trophy 2025, but had put forth a one condition before the International Cricket Council.

Shoaib Akhtar criticized PCB for conceding to the hybrid model for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, allowing India's matches in UAE. He claimed the agreement was pre-decided and urged stronger negotiation.

The hybrid model agreement thus offers a temporary solution to the Champions Trophy venue problem but leaves many questions open to debate over the larger implications for future ICC tournaments and revenue distribution.

A top Pakistan Cricket Board official is ready to talk to India to ease concerns about playing in the 2025 Champions Trophy.

The Champions Trophy is scheduled to be hosted across three venues in Pakistan over February and March next year. But India, who have not toured Pakistan since 2008, told the ICC their government had not given them permission to travel to Pakistan for the event earlier this month.

Pakistan initially did not accept the demands put in place by BCCI, it has been reported that the PCB has agreed to the hybrid model, with India's matches set to be held in Dubai.
