President Donald Trump says Thai and Cambodian leaders have agreed to renew a truce after days of deadly clashes.

President Trump is expected to speak with Thailand’s prime minister on Friday, as he seeks burnish his self-styled image as a peacemaker by intervening in a border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia that entered its fifth day.

The escalation broke the ceasefire brokered in July by Trump who threatened to halt trade talks with the two countries unless they ended the fight.
