The NFL Draft is happening Thursday evening, and EA made it official that Madden NFL 26 will be released on Aug. 14, and for the first time since 2013, the game will not be available for the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

The announcement trailer for Madden NFL 26 EA Sports College Football 26, titled “The Call,” shows a player at the NFL Draft. He receives a call informing him that he’s being drafted to the Washington Commanders, which is followed by flashbacks of his time playing college ball at Texas, and a look forward to his retirement ceremony.

While College Football 26 will not be on the Switch 2, Madden 26 did list Nintendo’s newest console among its platforms. This means Madden 26 will be on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Switch 2. Both sides of the coin are relatively important signs of things to come.
