The Yankees also received a good medical update on infielder DJ LeMahieu, who paused his rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on Tuesday to get a cortisone shot due to minor hip discomfort. A day later, LeMahieu felt so much better on Wednesday that he’s tentatively scheduled to return to action on Friday night for Somerset.

That potentially changed Tuesday night, when Chisholm left the Yankees’ 15-3 blowout win over the Baltimore Orioles with an oblique problem. Chisholm hurt himself on a first-inning foul ball, stayed in the game, and then reached third on a double and error.
