Gene Hackman appointed his wife, Betsy Arakawa Hackman, as the beneficiary to his $80 million estate, but her death opens the successor question to Hackman's three adult children and closest living heirs.

BBC News reports that the will of the double Oscar winner has been released, showing Hackman left his entire estate to his late wife, with no mention of his three children from his earlier marriage.

There was no evidence of infectious disease, trauma or poisoning that could have resulted in death, according to a New Mexico Department of Agriculture report.
