The world’s best hockey players will face off in Alberta in 2028, when Calgary and Edmonton co-host the next World Cup of Hockey. The two cities set aside their rivalries Monday as the NHL announced they’ll host the “best-on-best” international tournament, with Prague also named as the European host city.

The sites for the next best-on-best tournament have been decided. At the NHL GM Meetings in Florida on Monday, it was announced that Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, as well as Prague, Czechia have been named the host cities for the 2028 World Cup of Hockey.
