STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan. 5, 2026 –First-place Arsenal host fourth-place Liverpool this Thursday, Jan. 8, at 3 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN in a matchup of last season’s top two teams, headlining midweek Premier League action across NBC Sports.

Arsenal eased past Premier League title rivals Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium today. Gabriel bundled in from a corner then Martin Zubimendi poked it into the bottom-right corner. Leandro Trossard lashed in from the edge of the box before Gabriel Jesus curled it home coolly.

Arsenal are four points clear at the top of the Premier League table but Manchester City have made winning the title a habit in recent years.

With the matchup today, both teams will be without some key players due to injuries or suspensions. However, at the last minute, one of the players who will miss the match is Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice.
