Jannik Sinner closed his incredible 2024 season with the Davis Cup win. However, he achieved a feat that only Roger Federer and Serena Williams had achieved this century.

The Davis Cup had been a defining moment for Sinner in 2023. He saved three match points against Novak Djokovic in the Italy vs Serbia semi-final last year and went on to beat Djokovic in both the singles and doubles before Italy downed Australia in the final.

Jannik Sinner has become only the second man in the Open Era to achieve a stunning feat. World No 1 Sinner has joined Roger Federer as the only players since tennis went professional in 1968 to go an entire season without losing a singles match in straight sets.
