Aaron Gordon hit a 3-pointer in the closing seconds to lift the Denver Nuggets to a road victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1.

The Nuggets trailed by 14 in the second half and still by nine with three minutes to go, but Nikola Jokic scored 40 and Aaron Gordon buried a late 3-pointer.

Gilgeous-Alexander led Oklahoma City with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. Nikola Jokić posted 27 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals in the losing effort. He shot 7 of 22 from the field, and Oklahoma City's stifling defense continued to fluster him.
