NASA’s Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore have returned to Earth from a weeklong mission at the International Space Station that turned into an unexpectedly extended stay.

On an episode of “The Story Behind the AP Story,” Associated Press space writer Marcia Dunn discusses the space odyssey of NASA’s two stuck astronauts.

After a more than nine-month trip on the International Space Station, Williams and Wilmore splashed down off the coast of Tallahassee, Florida, late Tuesday afternoon. They were accompanied by NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov.
