The father of 12 previously said he displayed nearly all the markers for the disorder, and opened up about how it has affected his daily life.

The Masked Singer host, 44, revealed earlier this month that he suffers from the disorder that the Mayo Clinic says gives people an “unreasonably high sense of their own importance.” They need and seek too much attention and want people to admire them, the clinic’s definition adds. Sufferers also find it hard to care about the feelings of others.

Nick Cannon is getting candid about his mental health journey. Earlier this month, the Masked Singer host, 44, shared he had been diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder. For the star, being open about his struggles is a part of how he manages his day to day.

Cannon is embracing his newfound appreciation for mental health and therapy “in such a strong way” and says he hopes to be an example for others who are diagnosed with the condition. “To be able to say I’m an example for others, but also be healing during the self-process works too,” he added.
