Lebanon and Israel are edging closer to implementing a cease-fire amid reports that they have agreed on the terms of the agreement that would end their raging, 13-month war.

The United States is pushing as hard as it can to get to a truce in Lebanon but cautioned that an agreement has not yet been achieved, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said on Monday.

Israeli airstrikes are hitting Lebanon with airstrikes as negotiations progress toward a ceasefire between the country and Lebanon-based Hezbollah militants.
