The Princess of Wales made a solo appearance with the regiment in their annual London parade—and joined them for a Guinness—for the first time since she became their Colonel-in-Chief in 2022.

Princess Kate Middleton made a public appearance to visit the Irish Guards today ahead of the annual St Patrick’s Day Parade. The Princess of Wales is honorary colonel of the regiment, but missed the events last year due to her ongoing cancer treatment.

Kate has presented Irish Guards with medals on St Patrick's Day after they returned home from Iraq. Wearing a bottle green coat, Kate was greeted by senior officers at Wellington Barracks in London before heading to the Officers' Mess to present the operational medals.
