Abhishek Nayar refrained from making a final call on Shubman Gill, saying his participation in the practice match will depend on the go-ahead from the physio.

Shubman Gill missed the first Test in Perth as he was nursing a thumb injury. But his presence wasn't felt as India dominated Australia on their way towards a massive 295-run victory in the first Test.

Team India is currently in Canberra, where they will take on the Prime Minister's XI in a two-day pink-ball warm-up fixture at Manuka Oval. Through this match, Indian stars will be able to get used to the pink ball and its various tricks before taking on Australia in Adelaide for the second Test.
