The San Diego Humane Society has returned an injured female mountain lion back to the wild after a near six-month recovery from injuries it sustained in an apparent animal attack earlier this year.

A young female mountain lion has gone back to the wild after spending nearly six months at San Diego Humane Society's Ramona Wildlife Center.

A mountain lion spent almost six months in recovery at the San Diego Humane Society’s Ramona Wildlife Center before she was released into the wild.

The San Diego Humane Society successfully rehabilitated a mountain lion found severely injured earlier this year, and released her back into the wild after six months of care at the Ramona Wildlife Center.

The puma, which was captured last month in Yucca Valley. was severely emaciated, anemic and had soft tissue trauma consistent with an animal attack.
