G oogle is rolling out a new feature for the web, Android and iOS that will make unsubscribing from email subscriptions easier than before -- which was already pretty easy. If you don't have the feature yet, you'll soon see a new section in Gmail's sidebar that will let you quickly manage all your subscriptions.

Gmail’s one-click “Unsubscribe” button sits to the right of each entry; as Google’s post about the new feature explains, the company now requires bulk senders to honor that quick "no thank you" and to process unsubscribe requests within two days.

Apple's iOS 18 unveiled a similarly streamlined new look for Apple Mail in 2024, which included automatic sorting of promotional emails into their own designation "Promotions" tab — making it easier to spot and cull all of that subscription spam.
