Aronofsky is post on Caught Stealing, a crime drama starring Austin Butler and Zoe Kravitz that Sony will release Aug. 29. He last directed the 2022 drama Whale, for which Brendan Fraser won an Oscar for best actor. Aronofsky is repped by CAA and Goodman Genow.

Darren Aronofsky is circling to direct Netflix ’s Cujo film, based on the novel by Stephen King. Deadline first reported the news of the film adaptation , with Roy Lee ( It, Salem’s Lot) attached to produce in the deal made last week.

Roy Lee (Barbarian) is on board to produce the film, which does not yet have a writer attached. This won’t be Lee’s first time at the Stephen King rodeo. He already earned his bona fides producing both It movies, Salem’s Lot, Starz’s The Stand, and Mike Flanagan’s Doctor Sleep.
