The Dallas Mavericks and coach Jason Kidd have agreed to a multi-year contract extension, the team announced Tuesday. The agreement comes just over a week before the team’s season opener against the San Antonio Spurs. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Regardless of the outcome, the teams won’t have to wait long for their next matchup. The Mavericks will travel to Los Angeles on Nov. 28. Doncic, who’s 2-0 against his old team, will make his annual returns to Dallas on Jan. 24 and April 5. The Mavericks will play once more in Los Angeles on Feb. 12.
