The premiere of Big Brother Season 27 is just days away, but that's not soon enough for some. The house and theme were revealed, as well as the existence of a mystery 17th Houseguest. CBS decided to tease fans just a bit more by dropping a five-second promo featuring five of the new contestants.

CBS revealed the much-awaited Big Brother Season 27 housemates in their recent Instagram post, shared on July 8, 2025. It features a total of 16 housemates.

She's referring, of course, to fellow longtime CBS reality hosts Jeff Probst ( Survivor ), who also started in 2000, and Phil Keoghan ( The Amazing Race ), who began in 2001. The way Chen Moonves sees it, the three are tied at the hip, and she doesn’t want to be the first one to cut the rope.

Big Brother fans shouldn’t expect to see Julie Chen Moonves walk away from hosting the program any time soon. When asked by Entertainment Weekly if she had any intention of retiring from the show, Chen Moonves,

I'm a Big Brother fan, and like Tucker from BB26, I also "really like puzzles!" Especially crossword puzzles. So naturally, it's my idea of a good time to put together a crossword puzzle that's solely focused on Big Brother (U.S. edition).
