WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL) — Black Friday is a day dedicated to finding the best deals, typically led by the biggest businesses.

Small Business Saturday offers a local alternative to the post-Thanksgiving rush of national Black Friday deals.

The city of Bloomington is encouraging you to shop local for Small Business Saturday. It’s a passport campaign called “Shop… Stamp… Share”. Shoppers get a stamp on their souvenir passports for every purchase made at each business.

The days after Thanksgiving have become some of the year's biggest shopping days. Almost everyone knows Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. They have become a major part of the end-of-year lexicon like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Elf on the Shelf.

Travel Tuesday, also known as Travel Deal Tuesday, according to online-booking platform Hopper, is "a national shopping event where consumers can expect to see more deals on travel than any other day in the post-Thanksgiving sales period.
